There is a heavy competition from corporate hospitals with posh structure. Doctors, several times, express their unwillingness to work among the rural poor, under a service-based Medical Mission like ours. The nurses qualified in Neyyoor are wanted throughout the world resulting in a brain drain. Since there is a free medical service rendered to the poor and the rural population, we face a scarcity of funds and economic problems. Since many people of the area are in need of free medical service, we face difficulties in raising funds for them. But we place the burdens on Jesus and fulfill their needs so far, we realize our motto of serving the society with a divine blessing and we believe that the same will continue in future also. |
